EPFO now allows UPI and ATM-based EPF withdrawal with ₹5 lakh advance limit

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has announced a game-changing update for over 27 crore employees in India. Now you can withdraw your EPF:

  • 💳 Via UPI or ATM-enabled Aadhaar card
  • 📲 Through the EPFO Member Portal or the UMANG App
  • 💰 Claim up to ₹5,00,000 in advance (up from ₹1 lakh earlier)
Note: This feature is rolling out in phases and may take time to reach all regions. Ensure your UPI ID and Aadhaar are updated in EPFO KYC.

✅ What's New in EPF Withdrawal (June 2025)

1. EPF Withdrawal via UPI & ATM

UPI-based withdrawal means you can now receive your PF money instantly to your UPI-linked bank account. Simply add your UPI ID (e.g., yourname@upi) to your EPF KYC details.

ATM-enabled Aadhaar cards will also allow you to withdraw directly from EPF once linked and authenticated with biometric or PIN verification.

2. Advance Withdrawal Limit Increased to ₹5 Lakh

Employees can now take up to ₹5 lakh as an advance for situations like:

  • 🏥 Medical treatment
  • 🏠 Home construction or purchase
  • 🎓 Education of children

This increase offers more liquidity to salaried individuals during emergencies or major life events.

📲 How to Withdraw EPF Using UPI

  1. Login to EPFO Member Portal or open the UMANG App
  2. Go to Manage → KYC and add your UPI ID
  3. Navigate to Online Services → Claim (Form-31, 19, 10C, etc.)

🔐 Security Measures
